Detergents and other harsch chemicals can soak into the cord inside the pearls, ruin precoius stones and otherwise don't get rinsed out, deteriorating the cord and your precious stones. Blitz has Jewelry cleaner solutions that differ for every type of piece depending on the materials. While you can usually use a soft brush, like the brush included in every bottle of Blitz jewelry cleaner, to GENTLY loosen dirt from around a pearl or setting, or in the back of one, be careful with this, so as not to loosen the setting; don't use toothpaste or any other abrasive cleaner on that brush.
