Stainless Steel Shine liquid polish is a non-toxic formulation. It is for all stainless objects including cooking vessels. The item should be free from food, dirt, and dust, and then the cloth is rubbed on the surface (follow directions). The item is then rinsed and dried. CRITICAL: If an item is used for cooking, it is essential you insist that the cookware be washed thoroughly for sanitary reasons. Note that often carbon and water spot stains will build up on copper cooking vessels. This cloth will not remove all of those blemishes and stains depending on how deep the carbon later is. The water marks might need several treatments to remove. Stainless steel is an alloy of steel and other metals. It comes in many, many grades. The usual rule of thumb is if a piece of stainless steel is magnetic (attracted by a magnet) it has the possibility of rusting. If it is non-magnetic it tends not to rust. Stainless may have a brushed look or a high mirror finish, and our cloths work well on all of these items if used properly. A typical application is to clean stainless steel sinks or cookware. However, it works well on ornaments and other stainless steel, too. What about stainless steel refrigerator doors? These doors are usually made of brushed steel but caution should be used. Aggressive rubbing on refrigerator doors will polish the brushed look and make it look a bit different. In some cases, the stainless steel may not be stainless steel (maybe it is soft steel or aluminum?), and therefore the use of the polish will make the metal shine. There are instructions that come with the appliance and should be followed. 8 FL. OZ. Blitz Stock #20641
